Today, there are three distinct types of lead acid batteries manufactured for boats, yachts, marine battery watercraft, RVs, and recreational vehicles. Any one type of battery can be designed and built for either starting or deep cycle applications. These types are flooded acid, gelled acid, and Advanced AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat). There are various quality levels available in each type. Price is dependent upon the perceived quality as well as the product design, processing, and manufacturing costs.

Lifeline Batteries
For the past 15 years, Lifeline Battery has been a leader in research, development and production of sealed lead acid batteries for the US Navy and US Air Force. Their current LIFELINE series is designed for marine, RV (Recreational Vehicles), UPS, inverter stand-by and photovoltaic applications in order to correct many of the shortcomings of the sealed gel (GEL-CELL) batteries. LIFELINE AGM construction maintains the sealed aspects of gel batteries while reducing their chronic recharge sensitivity. In addition, LIFELINE AGM technology increases Amp-Hrs., Cranking Performance, Reserve Capacity, Depth of Cycle and Cycle Life over gel technology.
This increased performance has made us original equipment on many high quality commercial ships and pleasure craft including Lazarra Yachts, Island Packet, Pacific Seacraft, Viking Yachts, Elco Electric Boats, San Juan Yachts, Alden Yachts, Hinckley Yachts, Santa Cruz Yachts, Christensen Shipyards, Blue Water Yachts, and Broward Marine.
In addition, we are original equipment on Monaco, Vantare, Marathon, Parliament, Country Coach and Royal motorcoaches and recreational vehicles where inverters such as Heart, Trace, Xantrex, and Magnum apply heavy loads to batteries. Our Batteries efficient charge acceptance and low internal discharge make them ideal for photovoltaic (solar) and UPS applications where sealed batteries are desired.
